Breeding the Trakehner horse has a nearly 50-year old tradition in Hohenschmark. Meanwhile our herd has grown and 12 Trakehner broodmares most of which are premium graded, are at home again at Hohenschmark. Their pedigrees represent the "Who is Who" in the Trakehner breed. Athleticism, quality of movement, the classic nobility of the Trakehner paired with an even temperament and good fertility are the breeding criteria most relevant to us. Our aim is to breed apealing and athletic, reliable and rideable offspring with these mares.

Success at the regional broodmare show in Bad Segeberg in 2008: Hohenschmark's Susuya was First in Show. Other great achievements for our mares on this occasion were 2 first and 3 third places. At the central mare grding in the same year another third place went to the Hohenschmark mare Amida.
