Welcome at Gestüt Hohenschmark!

Our Stud is surrounded by its own grounds also comprising Lake Schmark. A peaceful and tranquil location in Schleswig Holstein, Germany reminiscent of Swiss landscape. The designated Nature Park is an important tourist destination in Northern Germany and situated between the cities of Kiel and Lübeck. We breed exclusive Sportshorses and Ponies with mares out of the best damlines and selected for their performance, their exterior and outstanding interior. Our aim is to breed horses for the sport and to accompany them on their journey to success. Our horses are part of the family and their wellbeing is a priority to us.

We set very high standards to how our horses are kept and their daily training. Every horse is given the time to develop in their own good time and according to their ability. We combine fine riding with perfect management around the individual horse and make sure we do the best for your future partner. The stud offers superb facilities for the upbringing of youngstock with its extensive fields and an experienced team that looks after them.

We know how important communication with the horse owners is and that the cooperation is based on trust. We do our best to fulfill your wishes but we do not give promises we cannot keep. We give everything to make Gestüt Hohenschmark the heaven on earth for the horses!

Please, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at any time. We are looking forward to hear from you.
